EQUINE ASSISTED LEARNING EAL
about
Welcome to WINGS Equine Assisted Learning, we are looking forward to exploring with you.

––––––––––––––––––––––––
Offering experiential learning rooted in nature, participants are guided in a safe, nurturing and relaxing environment where growth happens naturally.

Participants learn through hands on activities and by being in relationship with horses. The horses provide authentic, non-judgemental feedback and create awareness from which the participant can learn about how they are showing up mentally, emotionally, energetically and physically.

Equine Assisted Learning can help build self confidence, self esteem and self worth, as well as lowering anxiety and stress. It can reduce overwhelm and provide clarity and deliberateness in life.

EAL can support the promotion of self awareness, social and emotional growth, personal development and also professional development. It can help create a purposeful and empowered way of being, allowing us to thrive with authenticity and vitality.

Participants are guided through observation and reflection, developing new insights, awareness and skills through relational experiences with horses. Participants are able to learn in their own way, in their own time.

There is also an element of un-learning, in identifying and letting go of patterns created to cope or adapt to situations that no longer serve us. This letting go helps create connection to the here and now and to the core self and an ability to respond authentically.

The understanding participants gain in the sessions with horses can be applied to real life situations and scenarios. The sessions create a ‘tool kit’, a source to draw inspiration from in every day life.

It is important to note that this is not therapy and no horse experience is necessary.

Participants can visit once or take part in repeated sessions.

Session prices vary for groups. Please get in touch for more information.
WHY HORSES
Why Horses?

––––––––––––––––––––––––

Horses are highly sensitive to their environment, they use their whole body and all of their senses to gain information about their surroundings. They read subtle body language and personal energy, seeking connection, congruence, clarity and trust, from horses and humans alike, in order to feel safe.

With a deep rooted wisdom in just ‘being’, horses ask for authenticity, giving humans an opportunity to delve into themselves and meet the moment.

Horses enable participants to see how they behave in relationships and offer a safe way to experiment with changes in behaviour, such as setting defined boundaries, practicing deep listening skills, having clear intentions and noticing the impact of shifting emotional states. Their feedback is honest, immediate and non-judgemental, always responding to the reality of the moment.

At WINGS EAL, we believe in the power of the horse-human connection. I have been engaging with horses since I was ten years old and they have been an integral part of my life ever since. Horses have been my teachers, my solace, and my confidants. They have helped me through tough times and have been there to celebrate my successes.
It is this connection that I want to share. By offering Equine Assisted Learning, I am able to provide a safe and supportive environment to explore and develop self awareness, communication, and leadership skills. I invite you to come and experience the healing power of horses.

I have studied with internationally recognized author, leading expert, experiential psychotherapist and transformational coach Leif Hallberg, and my sessions are based on Leif’s Embodied Awareness in ActionTM model.

I am a member of the International Institute of Complementary Therapists (IICT), am fully insured and have a Working with Children Check. I am excited to be able to offer this unique and powerful experience.
